Royal Perth Hospital was the first Hospital established in Western Australia and is its largest teaching hospital. It is one of Australia's largest and busiest hospitals, treating approximately 77,000 in-patients and 298,000 outpatients per year. The second largest trauma workload in Australia is managed at RPH, which also has one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Australasia with presentations exceeding 58,000 year.
RPH has a distinguished international record in patient care, teaching and research, hosting Nobel Prize-winning research and world-leading experts in areas such as stroke, burns care and HIV research.
Nursing’s Evidence Synthesis Group is made up of staff members of the hospitals Education Centre responsible for a diverse range of postgraduate nursing education, research and corporate training programmes.
