Adelaide is a charming city surrounded by beautiful parklands. It is easy to get to and travel around, so there is little wonder it is known as the 20 minute city. Adelaide has something for everyone, from a shopping experience on Rundle Mall to a fabulous dining experience in one of the many restaurants, cafes and pubs on offer. Stroll along the North Terrace boulevard and visit the many art galleries and museums. You can also visit The Adelaide Zoo, home to Australia’s only Giant Pandas, Wang Wang and Funi. The Adelaide Hills and metropolitan beaches are just 20 minutes drive from the CBD and also offer great cafés and restaurants. Adelaide is a wonderful city to explore, however, extend your trip in South Australia and visit our country regions by car or by plane. South Australia is also known for its beautiful wine regions and The Barossa, Clare Valley, The Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale are all a short drive from Adelaide and offer beautiful scenery and wonderful experiences.

Banks are open from 0900 – 1600 Monday to Friday. Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) are also conveniently located around the city centre.
Trading hours in the CBD are as follows: Mon – Thurs 0900 – 1730 Friday 0900 – 2100 Saturday 0900 – 1700 Sunday 1100 – 1700
Credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, shops and restaurants. Commonly used cards include Visa, American Express, MasterCard and Diners Club.
Adelaide Domestic and International Airport terminals are located 10 kilometres west of the CBD. You will need to allow approx 15 minutes travelling time to and from your hotel. Your hotel can assist with airport transfers or alternatively there is a taxi rank located directly outside the airport terminal.
Smoking is banned in most public places in Australia, including the conference venue. All restaurants, cafes, licensed premises, shopping centres and public transport are smoke-free.
An average daily temperature in Adelaide in August is 15.9 degrees and can drop to a minimum of 8 degrees in the evenings.

The Registration & Information Desk will be located on Level 1 (stairs or lifts available from the Hotel ground floor) at the conference venue for collection of name badges and conference materials. Staff will be on hand to answer any queries
Each delegate will receive a name badge on registration. This badge will be your official pass and must be worn to gain entry to all sessions, including the conference dinner.
The attire for the convention is neat casual or business. To ensure your personal comfort in rooms of varying temperature we suggest you bring a light jacket or shawl.
All catering breaks including lunch, morning and afternoon teas will be served on the conference floor (Level 1). If you advised us of a special dietary requirement on your registration form, please make yourself known to the waiting staff so they can provide you with your special meal.
If you indicated a special dietary need in your registration, please speak to a venue staff member to collect your meal. If you have not already done so, please advise Kym Elson of any dietary requirements 1 week prior to the start of the conference at kym.elson@adelaide.edu.au
The conference organisers collect personal information provided on the registration form for the intended purpose of processing your conference registration. A Delegate List will also be provided to all registered delegates exhibitors and sponsors at the conference. The Delegate List will contain delegate names, organisation, location (state or country) and email address only. Each registrant must indicate on the registration form if they give us permission to include their contact details on the Delegate list.
